Universal Appliances is a locally owned family business that has been offering quality brands such as Thermador, Bosch, Miele, Subzero, Monogram and many more since 1953. We are proudly serving the Ottawa area including Gatineau, Smith Falls, Perth, Cornwall, Renfrew, Pembroke, Kemptville, Clarence‑Rockland and Maniwaki.

History

Universal Appliances was founded in 1953 by Maurice Ladouceur. An Electrical Contractor by trade with a keen knowledge of business. He began selling kitchen and laundry appliances to the Ottawa community from our first location on Rideau Street. Universal Appliances quickly became known for its quality of service. After many successful years on Rideau Street the store moved locations to 1695 Bank Street. And then further south to 1915 Bank Street to its current location under the guidance of Maurice's daughter Judy Ladouceur.

Universal Appliances has remained family owned and operated for three generations. With a loyal staff with countless years of experience in the industry, we have remained focused on offering old world service within a competitive market place. We continue to pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, selling a great product at a great price.
